Script Breakdowns

Breakdown sheet

breaking down scenes

last box creates call sheets

Budgeting

-Based on  a scheduale

-Don't do a budget with ought doing a scheduale first, because you know how long your gonna do everything and what you are paying for

-Broken down into sections by department things such as cast producers script writers etc

- cast crew camera sound locations accomodations catering art departement equipment etc

-the budget will be created by a producer or line producer

- this document will govern all monies spent and help shape the film in terms of what is possible and what is not

-the best budgets and budget-makers are those who can see how the money will translate to images and who can see the images on screen just from the costs that are laid out

equipment

-must fit the film

-must fit the budget

-who makes the equipment list

-what is it based on

-dovetails with scheduale and call sheets

-some equipment decisions will affect the scheduale

-for example, a scene that is one-page long that is all tracked on a steadicam or a dolly, vs a scene that is the same length and only involves three shots during a standard bit of dialogue will involve different equipment and take longer to shoo
